Second Annual Writing Competition
IN HONOR OF
Harry A. Pacini
Harry Aladano Pacini (1935 – 2009), President of the San Francisco Patent Law Association 1987-1988, the precursor organization of the SFIPLA. Harry was an alumnus of the Golden Gate University in San Francisco. He worked as a chemist and a patent agent in the Bay Area for over forty years. His leadership of the then Patent Association laid the foundation for today’s SFIPLA.
In memory of Harry’s commitment to the practice of Intellectual Property law, the Board of the SFIPLA is proud to hold the second annual writing competition in his honor.

Submission Deadline: December 1, 2009
Eligibility Requirements:
Individuals who are enrolled in their second or third year in either a three-year full-time or four-year part-time Juris Doctorate program at ABA accredited law schools in California are eligible. Competition entrants must also be student members of the San Francisco Intellectual Property Law Association (to join, go to www.sfipla.org/Membership.html).
Topic:
Eligible papers must address an intellectual property topic such as patents, copyrights, domain names, trademarks, internet law, computer law, and trade secret law.
