Classes of Membership and Dues Assessed

Please select one of the following options:

$125.00 Active
Attorneys at law who are in good standing in any court of record in the United States or any of the States or Territories thereof and making a specialty of the law of patents, trademarks or copyrights, and who have their residence or principal office in the Membership Area. The Membership Area of the Association shall include the Federal Northern Judicial District of California and that portion of the Federal Eastern Judicial District of California which includes Yosemite National Park, the counties of Stanislaus, Tuolumne and Mono, as well as all counties north thereof.

$55.00 Associate
The same qualifications as Active Members, but shall reside or have their principal office outside the Membership Area. Such Associate Members shall have the powers and privileges of Active Members of the Association.

$55.00 Affiliate
Persons registered in the United States Patent and Trademark Office or authorized to practice before a foreign patent or trademark office who are not qualified as either Active or Associate Members.

$55.00 Junior
Persons actively engaged in patent work under the direction of a qualified patent practitioner, who are qualifying for registration in the United States Patent and Trademark Office as attorneys or agents, and have their residence or principal office in the Membership Area. Junior Members shall have the same powers and privileges as Honorary Members.

$25.00 Student
Full-time or part-time law students intending to pursue upon graduation a career specializing in patents, trademarks and/or copyrights, and who have their residence in the Membership Area.

$0.00 Retired
Active Members who have become inactive in the practice of the law of patents, trademarks and/or copyrights. Retired Members shall have the same privileges as Honorary Members.

$0.00 Honorary
All Federal District judges and Magistrates of the Northern District of California and all judges of the Circuit Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit shall be Honorary Members of the Association, as shall such other individuals who have rendered some signal service to the patent procession, except that it shall not be required that these individuals have their principal office or residence in the Membership Area. Honorary Members shall be exempt from the payment of dues and shall have all the privileges of Active Members except that of voting and holding office.
